Good bye Winter, Hello Spring!

Look at what was in my yard in early February! I would have been smart to stay here,

but Mommie let me go out on the deck to explore! I'm glad that the deck has a roof over part of it. There's a lot of cold, wet stuff beyond.
Hmm. I'm not so sure about this.

This is about as deep as I like to go.

No wonder Mommie didn't worry that I would run away. There's a tall wall of white stuff fencing me in.

Things don't look much better out the front door.

Hey, it's several weeks later and the deck looks a LOT better!

Flowers are blooming! Mommie says that they are winter aconite.

My first spring!

I look forward to exploring in the garden as everything springs to life.

Love,
~Emerson

What a handsome boy you are.
You had a lot of snow, much more than we have ever seen. We are glad Spring is coming. We have had enough of the cold and are waiting for the warm.

We're glad your snow is melting. We're very surprised ours has too. But it's only March and we've had snow in May and hail in July up here, so we're not holding our breath for spring.

We're pretty sure Tenzing isn't all Maine Coon, but several people here have said he looks like he has Maine Coon in him. We've since found out his previous people got him from the local pet store, and they get all their kittens from the shelter, or locals whose cats have had litters, and apparently there's a fair number of Maine Coons in town.

Either way, he's going to be BIG. His paws are already about the size of Jack's and he's almost as long and tall as Persephone, at just 5mo.

I'm in love. He has Jake-y stripes. :)
